August 2026 Newsletter: Look What God Has Done!
The Lodge
Cindy and I are beyond grateful for every person who has generously donated and helped make this vision a reality.
The Sanctuary of North Georgia is officially open!
We received our Certificate of Occupancy for our first building, which we are now calling The Lodge.
The Lodge has turned out to be even more beautiful and more useful than we originally imagined! It will be a place where our future residents can enjoy dinner together each evening, spend time watching a movie, gather for Bible study, and simply enjoy being together.
We are also opening our Activities Center, which will serve as the main hub for our day program, recreation, and exercise.
The space includes a full pickleball court, basketball, a workout area, and more, all in a climate-controlled environment. The large glass doors make it an especially beautiful and welcoming space for everyone to enjoy.
We can also envision this space being used one day to host special events and even church services.
So much has been accomplished in just one year, and we are incredibly excited about what God has in store for the future!
Resident’s Cottage
While we celebrate this important milestone, our work continues. Our focus now shifts toward:
- Completing our first residents’ cottage — we still need $75,000 to finish it
- Maintaining and improving the campus
- Beginning plans for our second residents’ cottage

We are thrilled to announce our next fundraiser, The Event of the Year, a benefit concert at Matilda’s Music Under the Pines.
We would love for all of our local friends to join us for an unforgettable evening featuring comedian Andrew Stanley and the Double Take Band.
If you aren’t able to attend, we hope you will consider making a donation to help us raise the remaining funds needed to complete our first residents’ cottage.
